Gelato, Ohh Chocolat, Twitter and Awesomeness in #PrinceGeorge
Want a bird’s eye view on how Twitter works and the beauty of it in business? Here is an example that happened this morning in Prince George.
@marissa_harvey posted not being able to find ice cream on 2 different sunny weekends in Prince George.
@GarthFrizzell replied today and asked if she had tried @ohhchocolat on 3rd ave.
From here the conversation flowed each time in the public eye of the followers of both of these people.
What looked like small talk between 2 people… mixed with a little bit of business… (see circled tweet) was actually advertising that you can’t pay for.
But the story doesn’t end there…
@ohhchocolat (a new tweeter) gets wind of the conversation and sets up through @GarthFrizzell to have gelato ice cream right down to the radio station where @marissa_harvey works! Talk about amazing customer service….
Well the talk on Twitter (and probably in the newsroom for the better part of the morning.. as well as at CKPG (see @joeperkins chimed in!) was all about OhhChocolat ice cream!
What else… Garth Frizzell is a political figure in Prince George that is running for the upcoming city election… being the middle man between a newsroom in the city getting ice cream for breakfast isn’t a bad place to be!
And from it… see the last 2 circled Tweets… What an amazing geniune testimonial for OhhChocolat gelato ice cream!
I am sure the conversation continued further, but I had to jump on this article while it was hot… as it showcases how small talk works in business! And when you do awesome things, it spreads.
What OhhChocolat did was authentic to her brand (and personality). If you have ever been to her store, she takes care of her customers and delivers a simply divine product.
Now this isn’t to say, tweet her to get free ice cream… What is awesome about this story is that it was a surprise and it was above and beyond. Twitter is that powerful platform that allows you to amplify what is already awesome about your product and service! You never know who is watching.
Marissa summed it up pretty well in this Tweet here:
